2-5-24   THOUGHTS

We think this morning about the “GOD DEMONSTRATION!”  We, the ungodly, have now received the reconciliation.  We have been saved by the life of Jesus, justified by His blood.  The “helpless” have been helped... awesomely.  It was a “once for all time event” that applies continually to us!  The text says it was a demonstration of  LOVE!  Love, and the cost of love are shown powerfully in the cross and the resurrection.  “Saved by His life” implies the resurrection!
It is the picture of what gives our lives eternal meaning.  God’s GRACE DEMONSTRATED!   I must live with this story deeply embedded in my soul,  sufficiently deep to motivate and empower my living.  

Rom 5:6-11     For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7  For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. 8  But God  demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9  Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. 10  For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11  And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

My Prayer:
Thank You, O Father, for the Spirit words this morning.  They define our very being in Your eyes.   We exult in You through our Lord Jesus Christ.  All praise is due You.  We are at peace with You by the death and resurrection of Jesus.  Your wonderful grace and love is defined in these powerful words.  We, the ungodly, have been made Your adopted children.  May we believe behaviorally with our lives, a living sacrifice.
